One Thousand and One Nights is a series of classic tales that most children grow up listening to.  The main story begins with Shahryar, a King shocked to learn of his beloved wife’s infidelity. Bitter and heartbroken, he turns to marrying a secession of women only to execute them the following morning. Scheherazade, the beautiful daughter of the grand vizir offers herself to be the King’s next wife despite her father’s wishes. On the night of their marriage, Scheherazade tells the King a story but does not finish it. The King becomes consumed by the tale and delays her execution in order to conclude the story. On the second night, she completes the story and begins a new one only to leave him in the middle of it once again. The King delays her execution a second time. Eventually, this turns into one thousand and one nights These classic tales are filled with wonderful and impossible adventures alongside meaningful observations on life.
